Supplies to Include in a First Aid Kit

Emergencies can happen anytime and anywhere. Keeping a first aid kit in your home, car, or workplace can help you be prepared.
Whether you need medical supplies for day-to-day health care or are stocking up in case of an emergency, EIG has what you need. 

The American Red Cross recommends the following products to include in your first aid kit that EIG carries.

• Adhesive bandages 

• Antibiotic ointment

• Antiseptic wipe packets 

• Nonlatex gloves

• Gauze roll (roller) bandage

• 1 Roller bandage

• Sterile gauze pads 

• Fabric Wing bandages

• 1 Instant cold compress

The following items are also recommended but we do not currently sell them on our online store.

• Absorbent compress/ trauma pad
• Tweezers
• Oral thermometer
• Hydrocortisone ointment packets
• Aspirin
• 1 emergency blanket
• 1 breathing barrier (with one-way valve)

In addition to these items, include medications and emergency phone numbers that you may need. It is important to inspect the kit regularly for expired items and replace them.
